A new French luxury beauty brand, Skin Office Paris, approached us with the ambition to launch their first product, an eye cream inspired by cosmetic surgery results and efficiency. Before launching their e-commerce platform, they needed a website to collect leads and build brand awareness. In order to reflect the product’s high-end, luxury quality and branding, the website needed to emulate these characteristics through its design.
In collaboration with Skin Office Paris Art Directors, Bold+Beyond created an immersive user experience to introduce the brand and its first product. Enticing users to register and join the waitlist, we employed compelling styled images, smooth scroll-controlled animations, background videos, and parallax to craft this unique user journey. After a month of teasing, we introduced e-commerce capabilities and a blog to further expand the brand’s reach.
As we wanted to launch our product on the French market, the strategy was to leverage the emotion behind the product’s story. In the immersive user experience, visitors learn about Skin Office and how Eye Recipe, the company’s first product, was created through an in-depth scientific process in collaboration with leading cosmetic surgeons. As users scroll, they get to know more about the product, the ingredients, how to use it, and see testimonials from people who have tested the product with early access. Lastly, they can join our early access list to receive a discount when the product launches.
An essential aspect of introducing Skin Office Paris was for the brand to communicate the research, inspiration, and process behind developing Eye Recipe. To accomplish this, we created a dynamic blog using Strapi to provide the content. We also used Nuxt on the front end to display the articles, filter them, and load them dynamically. Thanks to Strapi’s highly customizable API structure, we included some pushes for the product onto the blog, connecting the content with the brand offering.
We implemented Shopify Headless E-Commerce functionality with Shopify’s Buy SDK to bring e-commerce capabilities to Skin Office’s website and go live quickly. Additionally, we leveraged the API to build our own user experience for the buying process, utilizing Shopify’s Checkout functionalities for optimal user flows.
To leverage the launch of Eye Recipe, we offered the product at a discounted price for those that joined the waiting list. Instead of using a coupon code, we provided the product at a discounted price on the product description page, opening up preorders. We checked against the user’s email to display the Add to Cart button and product pricing, allowing them to preorder the product.
